Ingredients:

  • 2 slices thick-cut Sourdough bread
  • 1 tbsp salted butter, softened
  • 2 oz sharp cheddar cheese, sliced
  • 1 pinch garlic powder
  • 2 toothpicks

Instructions:

  1. Lay out your 2 slices thick cut Sourdough bread on a clean surface.
  2. Spread 1 tbsp salted butter, softened, across one side of each slice.
  3. Sprinkle 1 pinch garlic powder evenly over the buttered sides.
  4. Flip one slice over so the buttered side is down. Place 2 oz sharp cheddar cheese, sliced, on the unbuttered side.
  5. Top with the second slice of sourdough, buttered side facing up.
  6. Insert 2 toothpicks diagonally through the sandwich to keep the bread from shifting in the wind.
  7. Set your air fryer to 370°F. No need to preheat for more than 2 minutes.
  8. Place the sandwich in the basket. Cook 5 minutes until the top is golden brown and the butter is sizzling.
  9. Carefully flip the sandwich using a spatula. Cook 3 minutes until the cheese is bubbling at the edges and the bread is deeply toasted.
  10. Remove the sandwich and let it sit for 1 minute before removing the toothpicks and slicing.
