Ingredients:

  • 24 count Sweet Hawaiian Rolls (2 packs of 12)
  • 1 lb Thinly sliced deli ham (Black Forest or Honey Ham)
  • 12 slices Swiss Cheese (340g), cut into quarters
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp Poppy seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp Smoked paprika

Instructions:

  1. Without pulling the rolls apart, use a long serrated knife to slice the entire slab of rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom half into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Fold the ham slices and layer them evenly over the bottom buns. Note: Folding the ham creates air pockets that hold heat better than flat layers.
  3. Place the quartered Swiss cheese slices over the ham, ensuring every roll is covered.
  4. Place the top slab of buns over the cheese layer.
  5. In a small microwave-safe bowl, whisk together melted butter, Dijon mustard, honey, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
  6. Using a pastry brush, paint the glaze generously over the tops of the buns and sides.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake 10 minutes until the butter has soaked into the tops.
  8. Cover the dish loosely with aluminum foil and bake for another 10 minutes until the cheese is completely melted and bubbly.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for a final 2-3 minutes until the tops are golden and crackling.
  10. Slice into individual sliders and serve warm.
