Ingredients:

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 oz pepperoni slices
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 tbsp grated parmesan

Instructions:

  1. Combine warm water, honey, and yeast in a bowl. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until a frothy layer forms on top.
  2. Stir in the olive oil and salt, then gradually add flour. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until the texture feels smooth and elastic.
  3. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rest for 60 minutes in a warm spot until doubled in size.
  4. Punch down the dough and roll it into two 12-inch circles on parchment paper.
  5. Spread a thin layer of sauce on each circle, followed by mozzarella and pepperoni.
  6. Bake at 475°F (245°C) for 12-15 minutes until the edges are mahogany-colored and the cheese is bubbling with golden-brown spots.
