Ingredients:
- 1 lb pre-made pizza dough
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 8 oz thick-cut bacon, chopped
- 6 large eggs
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 2 stalks green onions, thinly sliced
Instructions:
- Heat the griddle to medium high. Spread chopped bacon across the surface and cook for 5-7 minutes until crisp and browned.
- Move the bacon to the cool zone of the griddle. Note: This keeps the bacon warm without burning it.
- Mix melted butter and garlic powder in a small bowl.
- Brush the pizza dough with the garlic butter.
- Place the dough onto the hot bacon fat. Press down slightly with your spatula.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes until the bottom is mahogany colored and releases easily.
- Whisk eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper. Pour onto a clear spot on the griddle and soft scramble until just set but still moist.
- Slide the eggs onto the seared crust and top with the reserved bacon.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar over the top.
- Squirt a bit of water around the pizza and cover with a basting dome for 60-90 seconds until the cheese bubbles.
- Remove from heat. Drizzle with maple syrup and top with sliced green onions.
