Ingredients:

  • 4 ripe peaches, sliced into thick wedges (approx. 1.5 lbs / 680g)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt until evenly combined.
  2. Melt the butter over medium-high heat in a large non-stick skillet until it begins to foam.
  3. Place peach wedges in the pan in a single layer. Sear for 2-3 minutes without moving them until the edges are golden and slightly softened.
  4. Sprinkle the brown sugar mixture evenly over the peaches and stir gently to coat each slice.
  5. Continue to cook for another 2 minutes, basting the peaches with the bubbling syrup until the sauce thickens and the peaches are glistening.
  6. Stir in the lemon juice at the very end and remove from heat.
