Ingredients:
- Ice (cubed or crushed)
- 12 fl oz Chilled Cola (such as Coca-Cola or Pepsi)
- 1 fl oz (2 Tbsp) Coconut Syrup (high quality, e.g., Torani or Monin)
- 1/2 fl oz (1 Tbsp) Fresh Lime Juice
- 1 fl oz (2 Tbsp) Heavy Cream or Half-and-Half
- 1 to 2 Lime wedges or slices, for garnish
Instructions:
- Preparation: Ensure the cola, cream, and syrups are fully chilled. Fill a tall serving glass almost entirely with ice.
- Add Syrups and Juice: Pour the coconut syrup and the fresh lime juice directly over the ice. Adding the denser syrups first ensures slight distribution before the cola is introduced.
- Pour the Cola: Tilt the glass slightly and slowly pour the chilled cola down the side of the glass. Fill the glass to about 1 inch (2.5 cm) from the rim, being careful not to overflow due to fizzing.
- Introduce the Cream: Gently drizzle the measured heavy cream or half-and-half directly over the top of the beverage. The cream will swirl and settle, creating the desired cloudy, 'dirty' appearance.
- Garnish and Serve: Place a lime wedge on the rim of the glass. Serve immediately with a straw. Do not stir vigorously as this will kill the carbonation.
