Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz (45 mL) Vodka (Use quality vodka)
  • 0.5 oz (15 mL) Fresh Lemon Juice (MUST be fresh-squeezed)
  • 0.5 oz (15 mL) Simple Syrup (Equal parts water/sugar)
  • 1/4 oz (7 mL) Cold Water
  • 1 Tbsp Granulated Sugar (For rimming the shot glass)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the shot glass: Moisten the rim of the shot glass with a lemon wedge and immediately dip the rim into the granulated sugar, ensuring a generous, even coating. Set aside.
  2. Combine all liquid ingredients: Add the vodka, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup, and cold water into a cocktail shaker filled approximately halfway with ice.
  3. Shake vigorously: Close the shaker tightly and shake hard for 10-15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is frosty and extremely cold. This chill is critical for texture.
  4. Strain and serve: Double strain the mixture into the prepared sugar-rimmed shot glass. Serve immediately while still ice cold.
