Ingredients:
- 1 (12 ounce) can frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
- 64 fluid ounces pineapple juice, chilled
- 2 liters ginger ale or lemon-lime soda, chilled
- Green food coloring (gel works best)
- 1 (15 ounce) can lychee fruits, drained and patted dry
- 1 (2.25 ounce) can pitted black olives
Instructions:
- Pat the canned lychee fruits dry. Carefully insert one half of a pitted black olive into the cavity of each lychee to create your floating eyeballs. Place them on a tray and refrigerate.
- In your large punch bowl (or dispenser), combine the thawed limeade concentrate and the pineapple juice. Stir just enough to dissolve the concentrate completely.
- Gradually add the green food coloring. Use gel for a richer color. Stir gently until the entire mixture takes on that intense, spooky, ghoulish hue. Cover the punch base and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Just before serving, slowly pour in the chilled ginger ale or lemon-lime soda. Do not over-mix — a single, slow swirl with the ladle is enough.
- Float your prepared lychee eyeballs on top. Drape gummy worms over the edges so they look like they’re crawling into the drink. If using an ice hand, float it now.
