Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp black pepper, coarsely ground
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 2 lbs chicken breast

Instructions:

  1. Combine the olive oil, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar in a bowl.
  2. Whisk the mixture vigorously for 60 seconds until the marinade is opaque and cohesive. Stir in the minced garlic, black pepper, dried oregano, and paprika.
  3. Place the chicken breast in a large Ziploc freezer bag, pour the marinade over the meat, seal the bag, and massage the liquid into the fibers to remove air pockets.
  4. Refrigerate to marinate for 30 minutes (for chicken) or up to 6 hours (for steak).
  5. Remove meat from the marinade and pat the surface slightly with a paper towel to encourage a proper crust.
  6. Grill over medium-high heat until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) for chicken or 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare steak.
