Ingredients:
- 680g (1.5 lbs) chicken breast, cut into 1 inch pieces
- 32g (1/4 cup) cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp neutral oil
- 115g (1/3 cup) honey
- 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 green onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
Instructions:
- Pat the chicken pieces completely dry with paper towels before tossing them in the cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
- Heat the oil in your pan over medium high heat until it shimmers, then add the chicken in a single layer. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side until the edges are golden brown and crispy.
- Whisk the honey, lemon juice, zest, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger in a small bowl while the chicken cooks.
- Pour the sauce mixture directly into the pan with the chicken and stir constantly for 1 to 2 minutes until the sauce bubbles and thickens into a glossy glaze.
- Remove from heat immediately and sprinkle with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
