- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (approx. 7 oz each)
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 0.5 tsp onion powder
- 0.5 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 0.5 tsp cracked black pepper
- 0.25 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, minced
Instructions:
- Pat the chicken breasts completely dry with paper towels to ensure optimal oil and spice adhesion.
- Mix the rub. In a small bowl, combine 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil, 1 tsp smoked paprika, 1 tsp garlic powder, 0.5 tsp onion powder, 0.5 tsp dried oregano, 1 tsp kosher salt, 0.5 tsp black pepper, and 0.25 tsp cayenne.
- Apply the paste. Rub the mixture evenly over both sides of the meat.
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
- Place chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring pieces do not overlap.
- Cook at 375°F for 8 minutes.
- Flip the meat. Carefully turn each piece over using tongs.
- Continue cooking for 5-7 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
- Rest the meat. Transfer to a plate and cover loosely with foil for 5 minutes.
- Garnish and serve. Sprinkle with 1 tbsp fresh parsley before slicing.
