Ingredients:

  • 2 slices Sandwich Bread (White or Sourdough)
  • 2 oz (56g) Cheddar, American, or blend cheese
  • 1 Tbsp Unsalted Butter or Mayonnaise

Instructions:

  1. Spread the butter or mayonnaise evenly onto one side of each slice of bread, ensuring a generous, full coating for maximum crispness.
  2. Place one slice of bread, buttered-side down, on a clean surface. Layer the 2 oz (56g) of cheese evenly on top.
  3. Top with the second slice of bread, buttered-side up, completing the sandwich assembly.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 370°F (185°C). Carefully place the assembled sandwich into the air fryer basket. Cook for 4 minutes.
  5. After the initial 4 minutes, carefully flip the sandwich using tongs. Cook for an additional 4 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and crispy and the cheese is fully melted.
  6. Remove from the air fryer, slice, and serve immediately.
