Ingredients:
- 28 oz Beef or Pork Lil Smokies (two 14 oz packages)
- 12 oz Chili Sauce
- 12 oz Grape Jelly
- 1/4 cup Dark Brown Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Cayenne pepper
Instructions:
- In a 6-quart slow cooker, whisk together the chili sauce, grape jelly, brown sugar, and cayenne pepper until combined. Note that the jelly will liquefy further as it heats.
- Gently fold the cocktail sausages into the sauce until every piece is thoroughly coated.
- Set the slow cooker to LOW and cook for 2 to 3 hours. The sausages should be plump and the sauce should bubble slightly at the edges.
- About 20 minutes before serving, remove the lid to allow excess moisture to evaporate, which helps the glaze reach a thick, lacquered consistency.
