Ingredients:
- 4 cups (600g) sliced peaches
- 2 tbsp (30ml) lemon juice
- 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
- 1 tsp (2g) ground cinnamon
- 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp (12g) baking powder
- 1/2 tsp (3g) salt
- 1 cup (240ml) whole milk
- 6 tbsp (85g) unsalted butter, melted
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a separate bowl, toss sliced peaches with lemon juice, cinnamon, and 1/4 cup granulated sugar. Pour the mixture into a 9x9 inch baking dish and spread evenly.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Stir in the whole milk until just combined; do not overmix.
- Pour melted butter into the bottom of the baking dish or drizzle over the fruit, then spoon the batter evenly over the peaches.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes until the topping is a deep golden brown and the peach juices are bubbling up the sides.
