Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (75g) fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) fresh lime juice
  • 1 tsp (5ml) agave nectar
  • 6 oz (180ml) ginger beer
  • 1/2 cup (100g) crushed ice
  • 3 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 fresh strawberry for garnish
  • 1 mint sprig for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Place the halved strawberries, lime juice, and 3 fresh mint leaves in the bottom of a copper mug.
  2. Use a muddler to press the berries and mint firmly against the side of the glass until they are pulverized into a thick pulp.
  3. Stir in the agave nectar to the berry mixture.
  4. Fill the mug to the brim with crushed ice.
  5. Slowly pour the chilled ginger beer over the ice and give it one gentle stir from the bottom to integrate flavors.
  6. Garnish with a fresh strawberry and a mint sprig.
